RAL Color Names in Various Languages
RAL is a color management system used in Europe that was created and is administered by the German RAL Institute, which started in 1927 as the Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung (Imperial Committee for Delivery and Quality Assurance). The system started as a collection of 40 colors that were used for varnish, powder coatings, and plastics manufacturing.
Two main systems are described in the tables below, the RAL Classic color tables and a more modern RAL Design series of color tables. Each table set contains the RAL Color code, English name, approximate HEX Code value, approximate RGB code value, and the language name equivalent of the color.
